Halifax based energy efficiency experts, Eclipse Energy, have won several regional awards. This is for their work on schemes tackling rising energy costs in Calderdale and reducing energy bills.
The Yorkshire Energy Efficiency Awards highlight numerous projects and companies across the county. In particular for upgrading existing buildings or installing renewable energy measures. The event in Huddersfield attracted the leading figures in the rapidly growing industry.
Eclipse Energy have worked across West Yorkshire installing energy efficient measures in homes, both domestically and as part of large government contracts. They are the main sponsor of Halifax Panthers. In recent months they have emerged as one of Yorkshire’s leading businesses. In particular in the rapidly expanding energy efficient home improvement sector. They work with homeowners seeking to upgrade their existing properties through measures such as new heating systems, insulation, and ventilation.
Eclipse Energy Insulation Installer of the Year
The company were awarded ‘Insulation Installer of the Year’. This was in addition to high commendations for their work installing boilers and home improvement measures in Calderdale. Calderdale Council were also commended for their efforts to improve low-income homes. In particular by cutting emissions across the district through the ‘Room in Roof’ Insulation initiative.
Eclipse Energy, in partnership with the local authority, are committed to helping residents heat their homes for less. First and foremost by installing energy saving home improvements. One notable scheme is the current Room in Roof scheme. This allows low-income homeowners to access funding insulating their attic bedrooms and installing ventilation systems to prevent damp and mould.
These efforts have led to significant growth within the company, who recently reached a milestone of 80 employees, all from the local area.
Mark Bannister, Managing Director of Eclipse Energy, commented “It was fantastic to see our industry come together again after such a long time due to the pandemic. We’re incredibly grateful to take home a few awards, congratulations are due to all our team for their tireless efforts”.
Funding is still available for numerous home improvements across Calderdale. Eclipse Energy urge people to get in touch to avoid disappointment. “Depending on individuals’ circumstances, such as household income, there is funding available for both new A-rated boilers. Additionally, they can be eligible for fully insulated attic rooms, otherwise known as Room in Roofs” Mr Bannister added. “Upgrading insulation in our homes is an essential part of reducing emissions and tackling climate change. As bills continue to rise it’s becoming even more important to reducing energy bills. We want people to take advantage of the funding available and not miss out.”
