Eclipse Energy Reach Employment Milestone

Halifax based energy-efficiency experts, Eclipse Energy, are celebrating having reached a milestone of 50 staff at their Halifax headquarters.

Eclipse have worked across West Yorkshire installing energy efficient measures in homes, both domestically and as part of large government contracts. They are the main sponsor of Halifax Panthers Rugby League and won the 2019 Halifax Courier Sustainable Business of the Year Award. In recent months they have emerged as one of Yorkshire’s leading businesses in the rapidly expanding energy efficient home improvement sector, where homeowners seek to upgrade their existing properties through measures such as new heating systems, insulation, and ventilation.

The company have continued to expand in the past 12 months, largely due to an increasing amount of work with several local authorities, reducing carbon emissions in low incomes homes.

In March, the company announced that they had hired their 50th full time employee, all from the local area. The company have also gone through a restructuring at the senior level, with the addition of two new directors to the board. Matt Wilkinson has joined as Business Development Director, while David Grayson, also a board member at Halifax Panthers, has joined as a Non-Executive Director.

Surge of enquiries across West Yorkshire

Managing Director, Mark Bannister, commented “Reaching such a significant milestone is a testament to the hard work of everyone on our team, and a sign of how conscious people across Yorkshire are of their carbon footprint. We’ve seen a surge of enquiries across all aspects of the business, with homeowners taking steps to make their properties more comfy, green and efficient to heat”. “This time last year our entire industry was facing huge uncertainty over the COVID-19 pandemic, and we didn’t know what the future would hold. To come out of it now having significantly grown our business, creating employment opportunities for those forced out of work, is amazing for us. We’re proud to be a West Yorkshire company, and we want to continue to create these opportunities for people in our area.”
